Elyria is a larger medium-sized city located in the state of Ohio. With a population of 54,086 people and 19 constituent neighborhoods, Elyria is the 14th largest community in Ohio.

 

Unlike some cities where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Elyria is neither predominantly one nor the other. Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Elyria is a city of sales and office workers, service providers and professionals. There are especially a lot of people living in Elyria who work in office and administrative support (13.56%), sales jobs (11.40%) and food service (7.77%).
